Deputy Minister of Social Empowerment and Welfare, Ranjan Ramanayake went live via Facebook today and apologized to the public.

Deputy Minister of Social Empowerment and Welfare,Ranjan Ramanayake stated that a number of election pledges were made and it was even said the free WiFi will be provided. But the government was not able to fulfill these promises and because there is no WiFi the youth does not have data.

He added that recently professor Sarath Wijesuriya said that there are six cabinet ministers and 10 state sector officials that he would immediately send home, if he had the power,  and he says that the government has done a number of mistakes.

“I too have information that our people are committing mistakes”, he said

Minister Ramanayake urged the public to come together to punish these corrupt state sector employees and cabinet ministers.

“Do not vote for the cabinet minister and send him back in. Defeat him at the election”, said the deputy minister.
