Police Special Task Force gets new Commandant

The National Police Commission has recommended Senior DIG M. R. Latheef for the position of Commandant of the Police STF, after the position was left vacant following the retirement of DIG Ranjith Perera.

According to the STF Media Unit, the appointment was made on the afternoon of Thursday August 18,  by the Inspector General of Police. In addition, Senior DIG Latheef will continue his duties as the Chief of Recruitment, Training, International Relations and Head of the Division.
