The Department of Examinations states that 48 examination irregularities and fraud-related complaints have been received in connection to the GCE Advanced Level Examinations.

Commissioner General of Examinations W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara says that many of the complaints are with regard to candidates engaging in examination fraud. He said that monitoring teams have been deployed across the country to immediately respond to complaints of examination fraud.

An exam invigilator has been suspended in connection to a case of examination fraud.
