The Sri lankan Navy has decided to implement a security plan to put a stop to drug trafficking which takes place across the ocean between India and Sri lanka. Navy Commander Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne said that Navy patrol boats have been dispatched for this purpose.

He said that there is a current shortage of Marijuana in Sri Lanka as a result of the constant raids carried out by the police STFm  to destroy Marijuana plantations,  and take the stocks of marijuana into custody.

He went on to note that as a result, there has been a spike in the amount f Kerala Ganja being brought into the country from India.
