The National Transport Commission states that semi-luxury buses carrying passengers exceeding the permitted limit will be fined, starting from August  1.

Chairman of the Commission M.A.P. Hemachandra said that if a semi luxury bus is caught transporting passengers exceeding the permitted limit,  the semi-luxury status of the bus will be reduced.
