The repair work on the ruptured connector of the outer buoy that carries fuel from the Colombo Port to the Sapugaskanda Oil refinery has been completed.
The transporting of fuel via the pipeline was hampered on Saturday July 23 owing to the rupture.The buoy is located six kilometres away from the Colombo Port.
However, the Ministry of Petroleum Resources Development said that the repair work was delayed owing to rough seas.
The Ministry of Petroleum Resources Development further noted that the repair work is complete and the pipeline will be connected to the buoy in two hours.
