The control price of 16 consumer goods were announced on Thursday, July 14.
The gazette notification which gives legal effect to the announcement is expected to be released tonight. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce released the new controlled prices in a communique on Thursday. Accordingly, chicken meat with skin will be priced at Rs 410 per kilogramme – while chicken meat without skin will be priced at Rs 495 per kilogramme.
The controlled price of Red Dhal will be Rs 169 per kilogramme. The controlled price of Thai Sprats will be Rs 495 per kilogramme while Dubai Sprats will be priced at Rs 410 per kilogram. In addition, the controlled price of Chickpeas will be Rs 260 per kilogram and a kilogramme of Green Gram will be Rs 220.
The controlled price of a regular 480 grams Canned Fish will be Rs 140 while the 105 grams canned fish variant will be sold at Rs 70. According to the ministry, the new controlled price of a kilogramme of white sugar will be Rs 95 while a kilogramme of white flour will be priced at Rs 87.
The controlled price of imported full cream milk powder will stand at Rs 810 per kilogramme while domestic full cream milk powder is priced at Rs 735 per kilogramme. While the controlled price of imported potatoes has been set at Rs 120 per kilogramme, the government has not imposed a price on local potatoes.
As mentioned by the government, the price of a kilogram of imported Bombay Onions is Rs 78 per kilogramme while a kilogramme of dried chillies will be sold at Rs 385. The control price of dried fish – Katta is Rs 1100 per kilogram while for dried fish – Salaya will be priced at Rs 425 per kilogramme.
The new controlled price on a kilogramme of Maldive fish is Rs 1500 while the price for Sustagen is also Rs 1500. These prices will come into effect once, the gazette notification is released.
