Speaking in Colombo on Sunday, National Unity Front Leader Azad Sally claimed that there was no space for dissent, under the previous regime.

Leader of National Unity Front, Azad Sally charged that the defeated president made a statement that he is the only one being called “a thief” because for eight years there was no one in the cabinet – but those who were in the cabinet then, are in the cabinet today as well.

Sally stated however that if they had said anything in cabinet back then, none of them would be alive today

The leader of the UNF charged that Sajin Vass Gunewardena was known as his”eldest son” back then – and this “elder son” himself came out and said that the father who raised him is a rogue.
