Phase two of News1st’s humanitarian journey Gammedda, will take place today, Thursday, March 31 in Wilgamuwa, in the Matale District.

The News1st Gammedda Door-to-oor campaign concluded last week, after the News1st team visited every nook and cranny in Sri Lanka to unearth the problems faced by the rural masses of the country.

Today’s programme is an extension of the Gammedda Door to Door campaign and will provide solutions to the aggrieved and distressed in the country.

The live recording took place at the Maraka Kumbuk-Kandana School grounds in Wilgamuwa. The Gammadda Program commenced under the auspices of Minister Provincial Councils and Local Government Faiszer Musthapha and many others including the Divisional Secretary of Wilgamuwa.

Minister Faiszer Musthapha toured the area before the live recording of the program commenced. Special Attention was drawn towards the road system and the infrastructure facilities in the Wilgamuwa Divisional Area.

Attention was also drawn towards the bridge that links the Kumbuk-Kandana and Akkara Kala and Minister Faiszer Musthapha made a promise to build a bridge.
