Speaking at an event held in Manampitiya, Polonnaruwa on Sunday March 27, President Maithripala Sirisena spoke on how state institutions must be shaped.

A joint police mobile service programme titled A good society, a safer country was held at the Nissankamallapuura Primary School in Manampitiya, under the auspices of the President.

The president noted that institutions which have no public involvement will never come under scrutiny among the people, media nor any other sector and none of those allegations will be raised against them either.

The president also noted that whichever institution which has public involvement will always come under scrutiny, institutions which have high and strong involvement with the public provide a service to the people of this country just as it does to the other countries.

An exclusive interview with President Maithripala Sirisena will be telecast on Sirasa TV  on March 27 at 10.30.
