The Police Commission has reached a decision to submit charge papers against ten police officers in connection with the death of a youth in Embilipitiya.
Investigations reveal that a clash with the police may have led to the death of the youth. Secretary to the Commission Ariyadasa Cooray said that this decision was reached when the commission convened a meeting on Thursday.
The inquiry was conducted by a three-member committee appointed by the Police Commission in this regard.
Ariyadasa Cooray stated that the charge papers were formulated on the basis of the report submitted to the three-member committee to the Police Commission.
