The Ministry of Power and Renewable energy has said that they will be able to provide an uninterrupted supply of electricity after Friday.
Secretary of the Ministry Suren Batagoda said that they were able to re-start the generators at the Norochcholai Power Plant on Thursday night.
Meanwhile, power cuts were imposed across the country in phases within the course of Thursday.
The Secretary of the Ministry also said that steps have been taken to re-start the power plants in Embilipitiya and Puttalam which have been unused and neglected thus far.
