Two suspects arrested in connection to the torture and killing of an eagle were remanded until March 24,after they were produced before the Galle Additional Magistrate Kesara Samaradivakara.

The attorney-at-aw representing the suspects stated in court that the suspects were not present in the photographs and that they were not involved in the incident.

Court issued an order that the suspects present in the photographs be arrested and produced before courts immediately.

Police said that the four other suspects  have fled the area.

Police arrived at the location with the suspects, where the eagle was said to have been killed,  to conduct investigations. Parts of the eagle’s wings were found in the area.
