The National Freedom Front (NFF) convened a media briefing on Friday, where its leader Wimal Weerawansa stated that fighter jets of the Sri Lanka Air Force have been stopped in the skies.
He went on note that if a part of the country’s skies are barred for the legal Air Force of the country to carry out training, there is a huge problem
“Does the media report this? I questioned this in Parliament. Did anyone from the government provide an answer?” charged the leader of the N.F.F who went on to add that the Air Force has been unofficially informed to not carry out fighter jet training in the North. And the media has been given a frame -and they play within this frame, and in addition the opposition members tamed by Ranil Wickremesinghe are showing their false opposition.
The Air Force Media Spokesperson Group Captain Chandima Alwis stated that an incident like this has not been informed to the Air Force Headquarters.
The Army Media Spokesperson Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera stated that the Ministry of Defecse had not taken any such decision, as mentioned by Wimal Weerawansa.
