The All Ceylon Bakery Owners Association has focussed its attention to reduce the price of bread by four rupees during the consumer week.

Consumer Week is scheduled to be held from March 14 – 20, 2016. The association said that the a loaf of bread will be sold  at a price of Rs.50. This is a four rupee reduction from its regular price of Rs.54 . The association says this move is made with the aim of providing concessions to the general public during the Consumer Week.

The association added that the matter will be tabled at discussions in the coming weeks.
