Following are some of the views expressed on the arrest of Yoshitha Rajapaksa.

UNP Parliamentarian, Hirunika Premachandra noted that Yoshitha Rajapaksa has earned black money and also turned black money into white money and used it for a business which is illegal.

She added that he cannot be granted bail since he had spent money on the CSN channel,  and also that he cannot prove on how he got the money.

She went on to note that a group of persons in the opposition does not understand this, which is why they are trying to show the people of the country that it is an act of revenge.

General Secretary of JVP, Tilvin Silva stated that the they are screaming that they are taking revenge from Mahinda Rajapaksa’s family when Yoshitha Rajapaksa was arrested.

He added that revenge was taken during Mahinda Rajapaksa’s tenure.
