Kaduwela Magistrate Dhammika Hemapala issued an order on Thursday to further remand Yoshitha Rajapaksa and four others until February 25.
Pursuant to the order, the others who were further remanded were directors of the Carlton Sports Network, Nishantha Ranatunga, Rohan Weliwita, Ashan Ravinath Fernando and Kaveeshan Dissanayake.
The aforementioned individuals are charged with using a start-up capital of 365 million rupees, which was obtained in an illegal manner to establish the Carlton Sports Network, as well as with Criminal breach of trust and undervaluing imported equipment for CSN.
The charges also include the obtaining of funds for the CSN channel through overseas sources, where money from banks in those countries had been transferred to accounts in Sri Lanka.
A group including former president Mahinda Rajapaksa and former first Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa were in the court premises for the hearing.
