Twelve Indian fishermen who violated the Sri Lankan maritime boundary have been arrested by the Sri Lanka Navy in the seas off Talaimannar.
Navy Media Spokesperson Akram Alavi said two fishing trawlers were also seized. The fishermen who were arrested on Wednesday night have been brought to the Talaimannar Navy Camp.
Navy Media Spokesperson Akram Alavi said that the Indian fishermen are due to be handed over to the Mannar office of the Fisheries Department.
