The animal was captured on CCTV stalking the halls, before it attacked a man who had climbed a fence to escape it near a swimming pool.

It got inside Vibgyor International school in Bangalore, India at around 4am, and luckily security guards noticed it before pupils arrived.

After ten hours, villagers who came to deal with the situation managed to tranquilise it and remove it. It took three hours for the tranquiliser to take effect,  and the male leopard could finally be taken to a wildlife centre just after 8pm.

Local people said it was the first time a leopard had been spotted in this area. But conservationists have warned this type of thing could happen more often, as wild animals lose their habitat.
