Navy Commander says controlling arms entering country is the Navy’s responsibility

The Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne visited the Malwathu and Asgiri Temples and obtained blessings.

Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne called on the Mahanayake of the Malwathu Chapter, Most Venerable Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Thero and obtained blessings.

The Commander of the Navy then called on the Mahanayake of the Asgiri Chapter, Most Venerable Galagama Sri Atthadassi Thero and also obtained blessings.

Thereafter, the Commander of the Navy responded to queries raised by journalists.

Commander of the Navy,Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne  replied that there is a need is to control the arms that enter the country and that is the responsibility of Sri Lanka Navy, and whatever revenue that is generated will be given to the government.
