We are facing much hardship – lament wives of jailed military intelligence officers

The wives of the Military Intelligence Officers arrested over the disappearance of journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda convened a briefing on Friday.

Wife of Priyantha Kumara noted that her husband was arrested on August 24 ,2015 by the CID, and was questioned and then sent to prison.

“I have three children who are schooling. They are not performing well. I face various financial hardships.,” she said explaining the hardships that she is facing and called for the release of the five intelligence officers including her husband

Wife of Ravindra Rupasinghe noted that there five officers who have been jailed in regard to this matter. She stated that this move has affected their lives since the salaries were stopped.

“My husband is a person who sacrificed his life for the war,” she said adding that this predicament has led to many difficulties including financial problems.
