Deeds for lands for persons with no legal claim to the land they live in, located in the Kalutara District were presented at the Kalutara District Secretariat.

The event was held under the auspices of the Minister of Health Dr. Rajitha Senarathne.

The Minister of Health and Indigenous Medicine, Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, noted that the if one party does wrong it is deemed right, and if the opposing party does something good it was termed bad,  during political system that used to exist

” A party is not be kept above the head like a casket,” he said and added that the party is there to steer the country and while some say that they will never change their parties they go with Chandrika Kumaratunga seeking a federal system, and th same group goes with Mahinda Rajapaksa, calling for a unitary state.

“One man, one party but two policies. We have one policy” he said in conclusion and stated that priority is given to policy, and not the party.

Minister of Skills Development and Vocational Training, Mahinda Samarasinghe stated that since there is leader that who doesn’t stand for doing what he thinks is right, but rather bows his head to democracy and always acts on behalf of the people.

He added that the EU has begun discussions to grant the GSP Plus concession – and the country can move towards lifting the bans imposed against fisherman.
