The National Institute of Education has made plans to reduce the number of compulsory subjects students must sit for at the GCE Ordinary Level Examinations.
Chairman, Gunapala Nanayakkara said that a new curriculum would be prepared in order to minimise the unnecessary stress and pressure that students may experience. He added that the new curriculum would be in place from next year.
