Former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa was summoned before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into serious acts of fraud and corruption yet again on Thursday January 14.
According to the Commission’s Secretary Lacille Dde Silva, the former former Defence Secretary was summoned to the commission over financial irregularities that had taken place at Rakna Arakshaka Lanka.
In addition, the Director General of Operations of the Sri Lanka Navy and two others were summoned to record statements.
Speaking on the summoning, Gotabaya Rajapaksa stated that it is unfair for the commission to act in this manner, based on a misconception with regard to acts of service.
