Pakistani PM arrives in Kandy to visit Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawas Shariff, who is currently on a visit to Sri Lanka, arrived at Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016.

The Pakistani Prime Minister was welcomed by the Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela at the main vestibule before being escorted to the temple. The Ministry of Foreign affairs stated that the prime minister will also take part in an inspection tour at the newly built Jinna Center in Kandy, which was commissioned with aid assistance from the Pakistani government.

Following the inspection tour, the Pakistani prime minister is due to pay a visit to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, where he will plant a tree to mark his visit.
