United National Party MP Mujibur Rahuman requested the speaker to inform the Committee on Privileges on the threats made at him in Parliament, and see that justice is meted out.

The UNP MP stated:

When I was speaking to the house on the murder of Thajudeen, MPs Johnston Fernando, Sanath Nishantha and Indika Anurudhdha levelled death threats at me and tried to intimidate me. So, I request you to present these life threats made to me, to the Committee on Privileges in Parliament and make a suitable decision

Speaker, Karu Jayasuriya in reply stated:

I will direct this to the Committee on Privileges and call for a report within two weeks of next year.
