Rural Economic Development Minister, P. Harrison inspected the Dedicated Economic Centre in Meegoda.

The Minister of Rural Economic Development stated :

This has turned into mere shops and the services that the government hopes to be carried out to the public has not been carried out Therefore, we hope to streamline the process and ensure that a proper services is provided to the consumers and that reasonable prices will be given to the farmers. That is our objective

The minster said:

The international community has come together to say that Sri Lanka  need to be given the opportunity to solve its own issues. Thunmulle Wimal went on preaching to the whole nation. However, he has an issue over his passport and his wife also has the same. They spoke of something called the Hybrid Court but it seems to me that he has a hybrid passport. So, we hope to implement the law on him as well.
