October 21, 2015 was a big day for fans around the world of movie franchise Back to the Future
The first Back to the Future film came out in 1985 and grossed $389,053,797 and the sequel followed its predecessors suit grossing almost $331,950,002 worldwide.
This was a film many can recall, from the baby-boomer generation who first saw it in theatres, the Generation Y that watched it because their parents said it was brilliant movie and Generation C who managed to get their hands on the disc because Gen- Y called it one of the Classics.
The second Back to the Future Movie came out in 1989 where Doc Brown and Marty McFly hop on the undeniably cool time travelling DeLorean and head to the future. However even though it seemed like the future when the movie was released the date which the two protagonists arrive in the future is quite recent. As the DeLoreon comes out a time travelling worm-hole the dials reads 21st October 2015.
Even though the crazy Doctor and Californian teenager never showed up the movie created enough nostalgia for product makers to actually focus on a few futuristic things from the movie.
Arx Pax has been creating a functional hover-board, and in in honor of Back to the Future day, the company will release its second-generation Hendo Hoverboard.
The hover-board that uses electromagnets to float above and specially-designed surfaces making it a little less cool than ones featured in Back to the Future, but it’s a start.
In 2011, Nike (NKE – Get Report) released 1,500 Nike Air Mags on eBay to raise money for the Michael J Fox Foundation. Some of the shoes are still available on eBay but could cost you as much as $20,000 for a pair. British rapper Tinie Tempah paid out $37,500 for his during the 2011 auction, so the $20,000 price tag is actually a discount.
But their are replicas available and none of them have been known to tie themselves but Nike has announced that self-tightening power laces will be available in the near future
The signature time-travelling custom made DeLorean has been on sale for sometime, and even though it might not just break the time barrier, its still a cool car to have.
There have been advances in technology that were only subtle predictions like bio-metric scanners and portable communication devices as well as 3d movies.

But are these predictions coming true, a sign of impending fashion revolution as well? Only time will tell!
