For Our Children’s Happiness campaign reaches Seeduwa and Negombo

The countrywide awareness campaign For our Children’s Happiness  organised by News 1st, together with the Ministry of Law and Order and Prison Reforms, and reached Negombo on Tuesday, October 20.

News 1st had undertaken an initiative aimed at ensuring the protection of children, and building them a better future.

Rev.Fr. Robin Fernando of the Don Bosco Technical School stated that a society that never protects children will never be fruitful.

Students from the Don Bosco Technical School in Negombo and the members of the Negombo Hospital Development Fund rendered their invaluable support for the campaign.

Meanwhile, Ven. Embilipitiye Gnanananda Thero stated:

This act is extremely commendable as this aspiration is for everyone to come together to protect the children of the country.

Rev. Fr. Nadeera Fernando of the Methodist Church of Seeduwa, stated:

There is less interaction between the parents and the children.

He went on to note that their responsibility to awaken parents and elders in this regard. Another edition of this programme took place in Seeduwa on Tuesday, October 20.

A walk was organised by the Seeduwa Police and the Methodist Church and saw a large number of volunteers render their support.
