News1st’s For the Happiness of Our Children campaign ends in Kadawatha amidst tears and applause

This countrywide awareness campaign spearheaded by News1st, together with the Ministry of Law and Order and Prison Reform, aimed to ensure the protection of children and build them a better future, got underway in Gampaha and Kadawatha today on Monday amidst an overwhelming large public response.

Large crowds gathered in the Gampaha town to commence the For the happiness of our Children campaign. The awareness campaign which commenced its journey from opposite the Gampaha Railway Station on Monday, October 19 continued its quest on educating the public on child protection.

Group Director of The Capital Maharaja Organization Limited, Nedra Weerasinghe speaking on the occasion said:

MTV/MBC and News1st of the Capital Maharaja Organisation Limited is always at the forefront of carrying out such programmes, based on the national requirements of the country.

She went on to invite everyone to join us for the sake of our children who are the future generation.
