Sunday was the final day of the six-day celebrations of the 125th anniversary of Hindu College, Jaffna. The final day of the 125th anniversary of Hindu College was held with much pomp and ceremony.

The celebration, which was held under the auspices the school’s Principal I. Dayanandarajah, saw Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran attend the event as the chief guest.

A cultural performance organised by the Old boys’ Union of Hindu College, Colombo saw Arunnandi Aruran take part in the performance. A stage drama was also performed at the final day celebrations of the 125th Anniversary of Hindu College, Jaffna.

A large gathering were in attendance for the celebration.

Thereafter Senior Journalist, an old boy of Hindu College, Jaffna and co-coordinator for the 125th anniversary celebration J. Sri Ranga presented awards to the students who took part in the stage drama, as well as teachers who directed the drama.

A grand display of fireworks took place at the school grounds to mark the final day of the 125th anniversary of Hindu College, Jaffna.
