UN’s Resident Representative in Sri Lanka Sunbinay Nandy addressing the Annual Conference of the Organisation of Professional Associations in Colombo on Monday, September 21, spoke on President Maithripala Sirisena’s first appearance at the UNGA.
The Annual Conference of the Organisation of Professional Associations 2015 under the theme Innovation and Technology for Sustainable Development was held in Colombo on Monday.
Sunbinay Nandy, speaking at the event, said that they are working very closely with the office of his excellency the president to make his first appearance in New York at the General Assembly session, at the sustainable development goals summit which is a special plenary of the General Assembly. That his first appearance ‘to be very auspicious, remarkable, so that people hear about the new course of politics that is being laid in Sri Lanka.’
