Ballot boxes and officers will be dispatched for the general election from 7.30 on Sunday morning.
Additional Elections Commissioner, M.M Mohammed stated that this would occur under the supervision of the district returning officers.
Ballot boxes would be transported to the 12,314 polling centers across the island. The election secretariat stated that 125,000 government workers will be assigned election related duty.
The Additional Election Secretariat went on to note that 70,000 government workers will be assigned to count the votes. The Election Secretariat also state that 15,440,491 people are eligible to vote at tomorrow’s parliamentary election. The 2015 Parliamentary Election would begin at 7 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m.
