Sri Lankan Passports to get a ‘personal touch’

The Department of Immigration and Emigration says a programme will be initiated to include the fingerprint in the passport from Monday.

Controller General of Immigration and Emigration Nihal Ranasinghe stated that the finger print of any individual who is over sixteen will be included in his or her passport.

He also added that this programme will not be applied for children who are below 16.
