World Scout Jamboree reaches day eight

August 5 marked day eight of the 23rd World Scout Jamboree which is taking place in Yamaguchi, Japan.

News 1st’s Yasarath Kamalsiri filed a report from Japan on another group, volunteers attached to the International Service Group, taking part in the World Scout Jamboree.

Over 18,000 members of the International Service Group are attending the World Scout Jamboree, among who are 23 Sri Lankans. The Sri Lanka Doctor attached to the International Service Group serves at the hospital set up at the premises of the World Scout Jamboree.

In addition, a Sri Lankan is also attached to the team that ensures the continuity of Information Technology at the premises.
