Yet another edition of the series of meetings of the United National Party (UNP) in the Hambantota District took place on the evening of August 4 in Beliatte.

Speaking at the meeting, UNP’s Deputy Leader and Hambantota District Candidate Sajith Premadasa stated that in the recent past the entire Hambantota district was shrouded in fear as a result of ‘state sponsored terrorism’.

Sajith Premadasa also stated that the ‘stolen ballot boxes’ and ‘burnt polling stations’ were done by the ‘thugs’, who were made maximum use of, and later disposed of, by those who were seated in the ‘highest positions of power.’
