Bulathsinhalage Niroshan Sampath, died early this morning while receiving treatment at the National Hospital, Colombo for the injuries he sustained during the Bloemendhal shooting last Friday.

According to the Police Media Unit, he had died around 3:50 a.m. while being treated at the Intensive Care Unit.

A woman died and thirteen others were left injured following the shooting which took place during an election campaign at Bloemendhal Street, Colombo.
