On Tuesday June 30, the JVP expressed its displeasure on the topic of certain parties holding discussions with persons who were rejected by the people, ahead of the general election.

JVP Politburo Member Vijitha Herath noted that during the period of 100 days they did not only file complaints against small time rogues but also against the much larger rogues. He also said that the government was vested with the responsibility of taking action about them.

Speaking further, he said that the corrupt Rajapaksa regime was rejected by the people’s mandate cast January 8, adding that, however, giving priority to the party they are joining with persons who were rejected for the elections.
