The Financial Crimes Investigation Division on Friday recorded a statement from former minister T.B. Ekanayake. The interogations were centered around the financial irregularities at the Central Cultural Fund.
Police Media Spokesperson, ASP Ruwan Gunasekera stated that Ekanayake arrived at the FCID at 09:30 on Friday morning.
Former Minister, T.B. Ekanayake stated that there were questions over donations made to temples. He further noted that this government of good governance has queries about a CD that was released with the aim of developing Sri Lanka’s image abroad in an attempt to attract foreigners to the country and that funds were not presented by the minister alone as there is board for that and the Prime Minister chairs that board which includes a number of ministers
