The fire that broke out on Sunday afternoon in a mattress manufacturing factory in Bandaragama, was doused by Monday morning, police said.
The fire broke out at around 4 p.m on Sunday, June 15. No manufacturing had taken place on Sunday as it was a holiday. Only a few officers were present when the fire broke out.
The Fire Department had been informed immediately and the Horana-Colombo Fire Brigade had deployed five fire trucks to douse the flames.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
