Three people allegedly involved in drug peddling have been arrested during several raids carried out in Polonaruwa.

According to the police over 134 gms and 210 mgs of Heroin have been seized from the possession of the suspects  at the time of arrest.

Police stated that one suspect was arrested with 8 gms and 320 mgs of Heroin from the Maligawatte area. They further noted that two other suspects were arrested from the area near Seewali College in Borella

Police stated these suspects are residents from the Mulleriyawa and Borella areas. The suspects are due to be produced before court on Thursday, June 11,
