The regional Conference on Non-Communicable Diseases was held at the National Institute of Health Sciences in Kalutara yesterday.
The event was attended by Minister of Health Rajitha Senaratne and several foreign delegates. Delegates from 15 nations particiapted in the conference and discussed methods of treatment for non-communicable diseases
Speaking at the event, the minister said that Asian regional representatives have gathered here to discuss how to face non-communicable diseases.
“There are over 60 foreign delegates taking part. We have an environment where we can prevent the spread of non-communicable diseases. We are able to eradicate Polio in 1993,” he said.
