A magnitude-7.4 earthquake has struck eastern Nepal according to the US Geological Survey.
The quake struck at a depth of 19 kilometres, with the epicenter 68 kilometres west of Namche Bazar – near the base camp for Everest.
Strong tremors were felt in the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, that was badly damaged in last month’s earthquake. The latest tremor was felt as far away as the Indian capital Delhi, as well as Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
On the 25th of April a magnitude of 7.8. maginitute quake claimed the lives of over 8000 people in Nepal.
