Farmers who make a living by selling their goods at Dambulla Economic Centre have been forced to discard their produce due to the lack of proper buyers.
According to our reporter in the area, large stocks of vegetables arrived in the Dambulla Economic Centre during the new year season. However a majority of them had to be discarded due to the lack of vendors and consumers.
Thus, due to lack of proper procedure and state interference, stocks of vegetables at the Dambulla Economic Centre have now been provided as food to the wild elephants in Digampatha area by Dambulla Municipal Council.
