The Ministry of Education has decided to appoint principals to 106 government schools to fill the positions that will become vacant by December 31, 2015.
Accordingly, candidates will be selected from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades of officers from the Sri Lanka education administration while officers from the first grade of the Sri Lanka principal service will also be considered.
Applications for the positions will be accepted until April 30.
The appointments will be made for nine schools in the Western Province, 15 schools from the Central Province, 23 schools from the Southern Province, 16 schools from the Northern Province and 10 schools from the Eastern Province.
The Ministry of Education said that, in addition to this, appointments will also be made to 11 schools in the North Western Province, 12 schools in the Northern Province and 10 schools in the Sabaragamuwa Province that already have vacancies for the position of principals.
