Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mangala Samaraweera, called on U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry in Washington. During this meeting, the United States had commended the plan for immediate political and economic reform, drawn up by President Maithripala Sirisena.
Addressing a joint media-briefing U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry stated that the United States is exited about the 100-day plan of the new Sri Lankan Government.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mangala Samaraweera, speaking at the occasion stated that he looks forward to working closely with Secretary of State Kerry to re-establish close ties between Sri Lanka and USA.
