The swearing-in of new Ministers of the North Central Provincial Council, was rejected on Thursday due to problems that arose with the portfolios.
Provincial Councillors K.H. Nandasena, R.M.P.B. Ratnayake and H.B. Senasinghe, appeared before the governor of the North Central Province to be sworn in as Ministers on Thursday.
Attempts to contact Chief Minister Peshala Jayaratne at the time to clarify the problems with the subjects, were not successful.
The councillors then left the premises, noting that their portfolios should be amended and that they would take oaths once the corrections are made.
