Taxi fares at the Bandaranaike International Airport have been reduced.

President of the United Hiring Vehicle Association of the BIA, Gamini Kevitiyagala stated that taxi fares have been reduced by 10%.

He stated that the taxi service at the Bandaranaike International Airport has been operating since the inception of the airport there are approximately 650 vehicles operating representing six unions.

With the concessions provided in terms of fuel we have decided to reduce the taxi fares at the BIA by 10 % in a bid to pass on this benefit to our passengers
