Speaking at a meeting with United National Party members on Saturday, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe elaborated on the future plans of the government.

Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe expressed these views:

Just over three weeks ago President Maithripala Sirisena took oaths as president before the Supreme Court’s most senior judge Sri Pavan. And yesterday Sri Pavan was sworn in as Chief Justice before President Maithripala Sirisena. What the people want is this country to be cleansed. I am going to limit this meeting today to just three topics. Why? After this meeting I must convene the meeting once again in June to reclaim our victory. Because, after the 23rd of April Parliament will be dissolved in order to form a new parliament. We will contest for that independently. After that we will all unite and create a national government together with the Sri Lanka Freedom Party. There is no doubt about that.
