Two roads that connect Sri Lanka with the world are currently being over-taken by mung beans and sesame seeds.
The road which leads to the main entrance of the Sooriyawewa International Cricket Stadium is currently being used by the local farmers to dry their grains which include sesame and mung beans. The last time that a cricket match was played at the Stadium was on December 3, 2014, and since then no Cricket Match has been hosted there.
It is a common sight these days to see farmers from Sooriyawewa, Meegahajadura and Mattala bringing in their crops in hand-tractors, for drying on this road
Because of the low populace in the area, this road is being used to dry crops grown by the farmers.
